WEBSITES & CUSTOM APPS
Website development for schools and colleges in Lucknow
A school or college website in Lucknow has two jobs: persuade a parent who found you on Google to send an admission enquiry, and give existing parents the circular, fee date or result they came for without a call to the office.
We hand-code school sites in our Vikas Nagar studio — admissions, fee structure, notices, academic calendar, results, gallery, transport routes and the mandatory disclosure section — live in 8–10 days after we receive all your details. The price is quoted on WhatsApp.
Lucknow's established schools sit in Indira Nagar, Aliganj and Mahanagar, newer campuses have opened along Shaheed Path and in Sushant Golf City, and the college belt runs out along Faizabad Road past Chinhat. This page sets out the pages such an institution needs, the features that help the office, what to send, and where a parent app earns its place.
Three readers, one school website
A school site is read by three different people. The first is a parent in Indira Nagar or Gomti Nagar comparing four schools on a phone at night: they want the admission process, age criteria, fee range, bus routes and photographs of real classrooms, and they will enquire only if the form is short and lands where a human answers. The second is an existing parent who needs this week's circular or the date sheet and would rather not ring the front office. The third is the board and the inspecting authority, which expect certain documents to be published and easy to find.
Most school sites serve none of them well: a notices page last touched two sessions ago, a fee PDF that will not open on a phone, an enquiry form that emails an inbox nobody checks. A site built around the school's own year fixes that. Colleges have the same readers under other names: applicant, enrolled student, affiliating university.
Pages a school or college website needs
These six pages carry most of the traffic. A gallery, a transport-routes page and a downloads corner sit alongside them; a college adds department, faculty and placement pages in the same structure.
| Page | What it must do | Why it matters for a school |
|---|---|---|
| Admissions | Class-wise eligibility, process and dates, documents to bring, and an enquiry form that reaches the admissions desk on WhatsApp | The page the deciding parent is looking for; an enquiry answered within the hour is usually the admission won |
| Fee structure | Class-wise fee heads in a table that reads on a phone, due dates, payment modes and concessions | Parents look for it before they call; publishing it saves the office the same question a hundred times a season |
| Notices and circulars | Dated list, newest first, each a PDF or short text the office uploads itself, filterable by class | Why existing parents open the site weekly; once it goes stale, so does their trust in the rest |
| Academic calendar | Session dates, term breaks, exam windows, PTM dates and holidays as a table and a PDF | Removes guesswork for working parents and matches the almanac the school prints |
| Results and toppers | Year-wise board results, pass percentage and subject toppers with photographs, published with consent | What a prospective parent checks after fees; year-wise pages keep ranking every March |
| Mandatory disclosure | The documents and tables the board asks affiliated schools to publish, each a labelled download under one fixed address | Affiliation renewals and inspections look for it, and more parents do too |
Features that make a school site useful to the office
Beyond the pages, these are the working parts we build for schools and colleges. Choose the ones that match how your office runs.
- Enquiry routed to admissions
- The admission form (child's name, class sought, parent's phone, locality) lands on the admissions coordinator's WhatsApp and the office email at once, so the parent is called back the same day.
- Circular uploads by the office
- A small login for the school office: upload a PDF or type a short notice, choose the classes it applies to, and it appears on the notices page and the home-page strip.
- Hindi version for parents
- Admissions, fees, calendar, transport and circulars in Devanagari as well as English, with a switch at the top. Many Lucknow parents, and most from the districts, read Hindi first.
- Transport routes
- Route-wise stop lists with timings and the transport in-charge's number, so a family in Jankipuram or Telibagh knows whether the bus comes their way before they enquire.
- Gallery by event and year
- Annual day, sports day, labs and classrooms sorted by event, compressed to open on 4G — the pages parents forward on WhatsApp.
- Downloads and TC
- Transfer certificates retrievable by admission number, plus admission form, book list and prospectus as PDFs in one place.
What to send us for a school or college site
The 8–10 day clock starts when the inputs are complete, so the checklist goes out on day one. For a school: the crest and logo in vector form; the board, affiliation number, society or trust name and recognition details; the principal's message; class-wise fee structure for the coming session; the academic calendar and holiday list; the staff list if you publish it; transport routes with stops; the admission process, age criteria and document list; and photographs of the building, classrooms, labs, library, playground and events — real ones, not stock.
For the mandatory disclosure section, send the documents your board requires affiliated schools to publish — typically the affiliation letter, society registration, recognition certificate, building, fire and safety certificates, fee structure, academic calendar, committee lists and recent board results — as clear PDFs, and we arrange them in the board's format. Colleges send course lists, faculty profiles, the affiliating university and the current admission notification. Text can arrive as Word files or WhatsApp messages; copy written from your notes is quoted separately.
Where an app helps a school
Two problems come up in nearly every conversation with a school office. The first is the daily traffic from parents — fee due, fee paid, attendance, today's homework, tomorrow's holiday — handled across a dozen class WhatsApp groups and a fee register. A parent app answers those questions without a message: each parent logs in and sees their child's fee ledger and receipts, attendance, homework by subject and circulars, and the school pushes a notice to one class or all of them in a single step.
The second is admission season. Enquiries arrive from the website, walk-ins, phone and referrals, and by March nobody is sure which family was called, which visited and which paid. An admission lead tracker gives the coordinator one list — source, class sought, call notes, visit date, status — with a daily follow-up view. Both are built as web apps, or a mobile app where that suits parents, and are ready in 15–20 days after we receive all your feedback on the screen plan. The custom app page explains the steps.
How a school website comes together in 8–10 days
Brief with the principal or coordinator
A WhatsApp or in-person conversation about the board, classes, campuses and who will update the site. Demo links go out the same day.
Quote and confirmation
A written quote on WhatsApp for the page list, Hindi version and features chosen. Half in advance confirms the slot; the balance at launch.
The school's inputs
The office collects fee tables, calendar, documents and photographs against the checklist. The 8–10 day count starts when it is complete.
Home page in school colours
A preview on a private link with the crest, admission strip and notices panel in place. One round of changes before the other pages are built.
All pages, documents and Hindi
Admissions through to disclosure, built and linked; the coordinator checks every page on a phone. Two rounds of corrections are included.
Launch and hand-over
Live on the school's domain with SSL, Search Console and the Business Profile connected; the office is shown how to upload a circular on a short video call.
How parents in Lucknow search for schools
Admission searches in this city are local and seasonal. Between December and March, parents type "CBSE school in Indira Nagar admission 2027", "ICSE schools near Aliganj", "play school Gomti Nagar fees" or, in Hindi, "लखनऊ में स्कूल एडमिशन" into Google on a phone. Google answers with a map pack and a few pages that state the board, the locality, the classes and real details. A site that names its area, publishes its fees and carries address and timings in structured data gets into that answer; one with a slideshow and a welcome paragraph does not.
So each campus gets its own Google Business Profile linked to the site, the admissions page is written for the session being searched, the Hindi pages are tagged for Devanagari queries, and the results and circulars pages keep the site changing through the year. For a college, the same applies to course-plus-locality searches along Faizabad Road and Shaheed Path.
The same studio prints your almanac
Schools already come to this desk for print: academic diaries, student almanacs and classroom calendars, crested notebooks, the prospectus, and the letterheads, visiting cards and envelopes the office uses. Building the website here means the crest, house colours and typefaces on the almanac cover are the ones on the home page, and the calendar printed in the almanac is the one published online. A school opening a branch or changing its name can have the site, the stationery and the session's almanac handled as one job, with Shubham Kumar as the single point of contact.
Questions schools and colleges ask about their website
Can our office staff upload circulars without calling you?
Yes. The notices section has a simple login for the office: upload a PDF or type a short notice, pick the classes it applies to, and it is live. Staff are shown how on a video call at hand-over.
Do you build the mandatory disclosure section in the board's format?
Yes. Send the documents your board lists as clear PDFs and the tables as Excel or Word; we arrange them under the board's headings at one fixed address you can quote in affiliation paperwork.
How do admission enquiries reach us?
The form lands on the admissions coordinator's WhatsApp and the office email at the same moment, with the class sought and the parent's locality. A second number can be added for a branch campus.
Can the parent-facing pages be in Hindi?
Yes. Admissions, fees, calendar, transport and circulars can be built in Devanagari alongside English, each version tagged so Google shows the right one for the language searched.
We run three branches. One website or three?
Usually one site with a section per campus, each with its own address, timings, map, fee table and Google Business Profile. Separately managed branches can have separate sites; we settle this in the brief.
Should the parent app be built with the website?
Not necessarily. Most schools launch the site first and add the parent app or admission tracker later on the same login; an app is ready 15–20 days after we receive all your feedback on the screen plan.
