Corporate gifts for manufacturers and factories in Lucknow
Corporate gifts for manufacturers in Lucknow are working pieces given in three directions: diaries and product calendars for the dealers who sell the range, a named diary or table calendar for the purchase and quality heads of customer companies, and shop-floor wall calendars, pens and T-shirts for the plant's own supervisors and operators.
Engineering, fabrication and electrical firms and OEM suppliers usually order all three from one design in different versions, delivered to the factory gate from Vikas Nagar.
A factory's gift order is split across departments — HR wants the plant calendar, sales wants the dealer diary, purchase raises the PO. This page covers how the versions are planned, what goes on a shop-floor calendar and what a customer's purchase team will accept.
A manufacturer gifts in three directions
A manufacturer's gift list runs three ways at once. Down the channel are the distributors, dealers and retailers who sell the range, and the electricians, mechanics and fabricators who recommend it. Across are the customer companies — the purchase, quality, stores and plant heads at the OEMs and institutional buyers an engineering firm supplies. Inward is the plant: managers, supervisors, operators, contract workers and the office behind them.
Each direction has its own piece and its own department. Sales wants dealer diaries and product calendars, covered in detail on the dealers and distributors page; key-account wants something modest for customers' desks; HR wants a calendar on every shop-floor wall. Running all three from one design means one round of approvals, one production slot at our partner presses and one delivery to the gate, with the versions separated at packing. The employee versus client gifts guide covers splitting the budget.
Who receives what, from customer desks to the shop floor
Tiers follow the recipient's role: a shift supervisor and a customer's purchase head both receive a diary, but not the same one. The budget column is relative, not a price list.

The shop-floor calendar: shifts, holidays and a safety message
The calendar a factory hangs for its own people is a working notice. It is read from a few metres away by someone between tasks, so the date grid is large and high-contrast, and the dates that change a worker's week cannot be missed: the plant's weekly off, often not Sunday, its declared holidays, maintenance shutdowns, and in a shift plant an A, B or C under each date for the rotation. The holiday list is the plant's own, and usually the last thing HR finalises — so the grid is designed first and the holidays dropped in before the sample.
The upper half of each sheet carries a safety theme: PPE in January, the National Safety Week theme in March, heat and hydration in May and June, electrical safety through the monsoon, fire safety in the Diwali month. The safety officer, first-aid, fire and maintenance numbers sit at the foot of every sheet, in Hindi or Hindi with English for the operators who read it.
Our wall calendars are 17×22 inch, 170 GSM, with metal strips and no lamination, so hang them on a wall or notice board rather than a machine guard. For a stores counter or a supervisor's cabin, a table calendar on laminated 300 GSM card wipes clean. Layouts are on the calendar design ideas page.
Points to settle before the design starts
A manufacturer's order involves more departments than most, so settle these in the brief rather than in the third correction round.
- Versions and quantity split
- How many versions one design carries — usually plant, customer and dealer — and roughly how many of each. The split sets the packing plan and shows whether the wall-calendar run reaches the 1,000 minimum.
- Holiday list and shift pattern
- HR sends the weekly off, shift rotation and 2027 holiday list. If the list is not final, the design is approved with the grid blank and the holidays added before the sample.
- Technical pages and who signs them
- Part codes, ratings and specifications come from engineering, not marketing. Name one person to approve them; they are typeset from your data, not retyped from an old brochure.
- Customer gift policies
- Many larger companies limit what purchase and quality staff may accept. A diary, table calendar and pen usually sit within those limits; a boxed set may not, so check with your key-account team.
- Language by audience
- Shop-floor calendars and supervisor diaries in Hindi or bilingual; customer pieces in English. Both scripts are typeset properly, and the mockup shows each version.
- Gate and paperwork
- Whether lots go to the gate, stores or HR, who signs the inward entry, and whether the GST invoice should quote your PO number. A packing list is sent ahead of delivery.
How a factory order moves from brief to the gate
One brief from three departments
HR's plant quantities, sales' dealer and customer lists and the PO details in one sheet, with the logo, product photographs and the date the pieces must be at the gate.
Mockups for every version
Plant calendar, customer diary, dealer calendar and supervisor diary in brand colours, logo at actual size. Two or three correction rounds, each approval recorded on email or WhatsApp.
Sample at the plant office
A printed sample of the main pieces comes to the plant office, so HR, sales and the approving director check paper, foil shade and the holiday grid together.
Advance and production
A 50% advance against the PO confirms the order. Pieces are printed at our partner presses and ready 5–10 working days after approval; our binding team checks and binds each one.
Packing and delivery
Plant lots by department, customer pieces by customer with names in list order, dealer lots by territory. Lucknow plants get hand delivery once the balance is paid; other units go by courier or transport with docket numbers on WhatsApp.
Gifts for a customer's purchase and quality teams
For an engineering firm or OEM supplier, the most important names may be a handful of people at three or four customer plants: the purchase head who releases schedules, the quality head who signs off first articles and audits, the stores in-charge who receives the material. They see many supplier gifts and often work under a gift policy, so what is remembered is a piece used every day.
A 13-sheet table calendar with one product family per month, printed front and back so the reverse carries specifications and the quality and dispatch contacts, stays on the buyer's desk all year. A corporate diary with the recipient's name foiled on a PU cover and a product section bound in after the planner pages becomes a catalogue that is carried into meetings. A laser-engraved metal pen completes the set. The same artwork can run on to a full product catalogue with matching images and codes.
For visiting auditors, keep it to a pen or a table calendar: audit teams often decline anything more, and a token at the end of the visit is easier to accept.
A worked example: an auto-components supplier's year-end order
This is an illustrative brief, not a client case study. An auto-components supplier in the Amausi industrial area makes parts for four vehicle and equipment makers, sells spares through about 180 dealers in Uttar Pradesh, and runs three shifts with around 400 people. It wants one New Year order for all three directions: 1,000 wall calendars in two versions — 300 plant calendars with shift letters, holidays and a monthly safety theme, and 700 with a part family per month for dealers and customers' stores; 45 PU diaries with names for purchase, quality and plant heads at the four customers, each with an engraved pen; 150 table calendars for customer desks, offices and the sales team; and 110 laminated diaries with shift-handover pages for supervisors and inspectors.
Sales sends the customer list and part photographs in the second week of October; HR's holiday list is still with management. Mockups are approved after two correction rounds with the holiday grid blank, the list goes in during the first week of November, and the sample is checked at the plant office. After production, the lot reaches the gate in the last week of November against a packing list: plant pieces to HR, dealer calendars in territory cartons for the company's transporter, customer pieces packed customer by customer for the sales team's December visits.
The plant's own year: Vishwakarma Puja, safety week and New Year
Factories mark occasions an office does not. Vishwakarma Puja in September is observed across workshops and plants; Diwali brings the dealer and staff round; New Year the calendars; and National Safety Week in the first week of March is when the safety committee wants every operator in the same T-shirt. Each moves the artwork deadline earlier than the October–November approval a January handover needs.
For the line, useful means worn and used. T-shirts are screen-printed with the logo and the year's safety slogan, with sizes collected by department so each bundle is packed separately. Printed pens go by the hundred to stores, dispatch and the gate register, where they disappear fastest. New joiners can receive the diary and pen in an employee welcome kit. Include contract workers in the count: leaving them off the T-shirt list is noticed on safety day.
Lucknow's industrial areas we deliver to
Lucknow's manufacturing is spread across several estates. To the east, the Chinhat industrial area and Kamta along Faizabad Road hold manufacturing units, packaging plants and warehouses — see the Chinhat page. To the south-west, along Kanpur Road by the airport, are the Amausi, Nadarganj and Sarojini Nagar industrial areas, with engineering, fabrication and component units. Talkatora's industrial estate is in west Lucknow, and the godowns of Transport Nagar, on the Alambagh page, move much of what these plants make. Our own team delivers to all of them from Vikas Nagar, 10:00 to 18:30, every day except Friday.
Plants in Unnao, Barabanki or Kanpur receive lots by courier or transport, as on the Uttar Pradesh page. The 2027 order timeline shows when artwork must be approved for January, and the full range is on corporate gifts in Lucknow.
Questions manufacturers and factories ask
Can one order cover our plant, our customers and our dealers?
Yes. One design is set in versions — plant calendar, customer diary and table calendar, dealer calendar — approved together and packed separately by plant department, customer name and dealer territory.
Our 2027 holiday list is not final yet. Can we still start?
Yes. Covers, texts and the calendar design are approved with the holiday grid blank, and HR's list goes in before the sample. It must be final before production, because a holiday added later means reprinting the sheet.
What if the plant needs fewer than 1,000 wall calendars?
The wall-calendar minimum is 1,000, and many manufacturers reach it once the dealer and customer copies from the same design are counted in. If the plant is the only audience, table calendars start at 100 and suit cabins, stores and dispatch desks.
Do you work against a purchase order, and what are the payment terms?
Yes. Send the PO with the approved quantities; a 50% advance confirms the order and the balance is paid before dispatch, by bank transfer, UPI or card. A GST invoice is issued on every order.
Can the shop-floor calendar carry safety messages in Hindi?
Yes. One theme per month, in Hindi or Hindi with English, with the plant's emergency numbers on every sheet. Your safety officer can supply the lines or approve a set our design desk drafts.
Who checks the part codes and specifications?
You do. Technical pages are typeset from your engineering team's data and shown on the proof for one named person to approve. Printing errors against the approved proof are reprinted at our cost.
