Corporate gifts for dealers, distributors and trade networks in Lucknow

Manufacturers and distributors run the largest gift lists in Lucknow: a dealer and retailer network across Uttar Pradesh that can reach several thousand counters, each expecting a diary and a calendar at the start of the year.

The essentials

Manufacturers, FMCG, agri, auto, pharma distributors
Recipients
Distributors, dealers, retailers, mechanics

Territory-wise to a dealer list across UP

The products are built for the trade — a dealer diary with scheme and target pages, a product-per-month wall calendar for the shop, a table calendar for the billing counter — and the job is as much about dispatch as printing: lots packed by territory and sent to a dealer list from Lucknow.

FMCG, agri-inputs, auto parts, pharma distribution, building materials, electricals — the categories differ but the order has the same shape: a few hundred distributors, a few thousand retailers, a field team in between, and a January deadline. This page is about running it without the sales team spending a week in a godown sorting cartons.

A gift list that is really a dealer list

For a manufacturer, the people who matter at New Year are the ones who stock and sell the product: the C&F agent, the district distributors, the dealers who hold inventory, and the retailers — kirana stores, agri-input shops, hardware counters, auto-parts shops, chemists — whose shelf space is the whole game. The field sales team sits across all of these and is usually on the list too.

The gift does two jobs. A dealer diary sits on the counter where orders are written and keeps the company's product range, scheme terms and the area salesperson's number within reach all year. A wall calendar with the product on it hangs behind the counter where every customer sees it — which is why shopkeepers in Uttar Pradesh still ask for calendars by name in December, and why a company that misses a year loses the wall to a competitor.

The network, layer by layer

Trade gifting is tiered by position in the channel, not by seniority. The quantities grow as you go down the table, and the per-piece budget falls; the budget column is relative, not a rate.

Diary covers we drew for brands with dealer networks

Four 2026 covers our design desk created for brands that sell through dealers and distributors — packaged drinking water, an agri brand, a spice brand and an industrial-safety company — shown as 3D mockups on a B5 hardbound diary. The product itself sits on the cover, large and recognisable from across a shop counter, which is what a dealer diary is for. Each name and artwork belongs to that company; yours is drawn around your own product range.

Dealer networks usually pair these with wall calendars for the shop wall.

Scheme pages, target pages and the trade calendar

A dealer diary is a working tool, and the pages inside are what make a dealer keep it on the counter rather than in a drawer. These are the sections trade buyers ask for.

Product range with codes
Full-colour pages of the range with SKU codes, pack sizes and MRP columns left blank or printed, so the dealer can write an order without a separate catalogue.
Scheme and target pages
Printed scheme terms for the year, or blank scheme sheets the area manager fills in, plus a monthly target-versus-achievement grid for the dealer's own tracking.
Order-booking and ledger pages
Ruled order-booking pages and a simple ledger section at the back; many small retailers use the company diary as their day book.
Contact pages
Area and territory salesperson numbers, the distributor's number, the complaint and service numbers — on the inside cover where the dealer looks first.
Hindi throughout the trade tiers
Dealer and retailer diaries across Uttar Pradesh are in Hindi, or Hindi with English product names; Devanagari is typeset properly, and the calendar's festival and market-day markings follow the state list.
Durable covers
Counters are dusty and oily. Laminated board covers with full-cover print survive better than cloth at this tier, and the lamination can be wiped.

How dispatch to a dealer list works

  1. The list, by territory

An Excel sheet of recipients with territory, town, address, phone number and the quantity and tier for each. The sheet becomes the packing plan, so it is worth having the sales team check it before production.

  2. Packing by territory

Finished pieces are packed into territory-wise cartons — one carton per distributor, or per area manager — with the dealer-wise split inside and a packing slip on top listing every name and count.

  3. Labels and manifests

Each carton is labelled with the territory, the receiving distributor's name and the carton count, and a manifest is shared with the sales head so every territory knows what is coming.

  4. Transport from Lucknow

Cartons for Lucknow go by hand; cartons for the districts go by transport or courier from Vikas Nagar, with consignment numbers shared against the manifest.

  5. Proof of delivery

Receipt at each distributor is confirmed on WhatsApp, and the sales team distributes onward to dealers and retailers on its December and January visits.

Wall calendars that stay up all year

The shop calendar is the single largest line in a trade order — a network of 3,000 retailers means 3,000 calendars at least, and the minimum run of 1,000 is rarely a constraint. The design decision is between a single-sheet calendar with the whole year and the product on one board, a six-sheet with two months per sheet, and a twelve-sheet with one product or pack per month. Single sheets are lowest-cost and stay up because there is nothing to turn; twelve-sheet calendars show the whole range but depend on the shopkeeper turning the page.

Whatever the format, the date grid has to be readable from across the counter, with festivals and the weekly market-closed day marked, because the shopkeeper uses the calendar daily and the product image is what the customer sees. Counter table calendars go to the larger retailers and distributors' offices, with product codes on the reverse of each sheet; the calendar design ideas page shows product-per-month layouts that have worked.

A worked example: an agri-inputs distributor's network order

This is an illustrative brief, not a client case study. An agri-inputs company with its regional office in Transport Nagar distributes seeds and crop-protection products through 14 district distributors and about 1,400 retailers across central and eastern Uttar Pradesh, with a field team of 18. For January it wants 14 PU diaries with names for the distributors, 1,400 laminated dealer diaries in Hindi with the product range, scheme sheets and a target grid, 1,800 single-sheet wall calendars with the season's lead product, 200 counter table calendars for the larger retailers, and 18 PU diaries with target pages for the field team.

The dealer list arrives by territory in the last week of October, and the product pages, scheme terms and the Hindi copy are approved after one correction round. A sample dealer diary and calendar are checked by the regional manager in mid-November. Production runs in the usual window, and the lot is packed into 14 distributor cartons — each with its dealer-wise split and packing slip — and sent by transport from Vikas Nagar in the second week of December, with consignment numbers shared against the manifest. The field team's diaries are handed over at the December sales meeting in Lucknow.

What to send for a trade quote

Send these on WhatsApp or through the form and the estimate for the whole network usually comes back the same working day.

  • Quantities by layer — distributors, dealers, retailers, field team — even if approximate
  • Logo file and product images at print resolution, with the lead product for the calendar
  • Scheme terms and the target format, or a note that the area managers will fill them in by hand
  • Whether the dealer diary is Hindi, English or both
  • The dealer list by territory, or the date by which the sales team can provide it
  • Where the lots should go — distributors direct, or the regional office for onward distribution

Networks that extend beyond the state are covered on the corporate gifts across India page; the promotional products page lists the pens, bags and tees that go to mechanics, applicators and dealer meets.

Where Lucknow's distributors and trade offices are

The regional offices, godowns and transporters that move goods across Uttar Pradesh are concentrated in Alambagh and Transport Nagar, the industrial units and warehouses are out along Faizabad Road around Chinhat and Kamta, and the wholesale trade that supplies the city's retailers works from Chowk, Aminabad and Nakhas. Auto-parts and two-wheeler dealers line Kanpur Road and the Charbagh side. We deliver by hand to all of them from Vikas Nagar; the full list of localities is on the Lucknow areas page, and dispatch to the districts is described on the Uttar Pradesh page. Between seasons, dealer networks come back for product catalogues and numbered order books and bill books.

Questions manufacturers and distributors ask

Can you dispatch directly to our distributors across Uttar Pradesh?

Yes. Send the dealer list by territory. Lots are packed into distributor-wise cartons with the dealer split and a packing slip inside, labelled, and sent by transport or courier from Lucknow with consignment numbers shared against a manifest.

Can the dealer diary carry our scheme terms and a target grid?

Yes. Printed scheme pages for the year, or blank scheme sheets for area managers to fill in, plus a monthly target-versus-achievement grid and order-booking pages. Product pages with codes and pack sizes can be added.

Should the retailer calendar be single-sheet or twelve-sheet?

Single-sheet calendars are lowest-cost and stay up because nothing needs turning; twelve-sheet calendars show the whole range but depend on the shopkeeper. Many companies use single sheets for retailers and twelve sheets for dealers and distributors.

What is the minimum, and is there a saving at 5,000 pieces?

Minimums are 100 diaries or table calendars and 1,000 wall calendars. Per-piece rates fall as quantities rise, and the quote shows the rate at the quantity you give, so sending the real network size gets the real number.

Can the diary be in Hindi?

Yes. Dealer and retailer diaries across Uttar Pradesh are usually in Hindi or Hindi with English product names. Devanagari is typeset properly, and the calendar carries festival and market-day markings from the state list.

How early should a trade order be placed for January?

Approve artwork by the end of October if the list runs to thousands. That allows a sample, corrections, the 5–10 working days of production and a week for territory-wise dispatch before the sales team's December visits.
