Corporate gifts in Alambagh, Transport Nagar & Charbagh
Diwali, not New Year, is the big gifting week in Alambagh and Transport Nagar.
Transporters, fleet owners, automobile dealers, workshops and the traders around Charbagh station give to drivers, sub-dealers and booking agents — a wall calendar for every godown, a hard-wearing diary that survives a cab, pens for the counter. This page covers how those orders are specified, what they cost relative to each other, and how cartons reach a godown or showroom from our Vikas Nagar studio about 12–14 km away.
A transporter's calendar hangs in a godown office for a year beside a tyre chart and a route board, and a driver's diary rides in a cab door. The brief is durability and a phone number that can be read from across the room, and that is what we design for.
Diwali first, New Year second
In most of Lucknow the diary-and-calendar order is a New Year event. In Alambagh and Transport Nagar the sequence is reversed. Transporters, dealers and traders settle their year with their network at Diwali — the sub-dealers who sell their parts, the booking agents who bring them loads, the drivers and cleaners who keep the fleet moving, the mechanics in the workshop behind the showroom — and the gift goes out with the Diwali sweets. The 2027 calendar for the godown wall and the diary for the office often go in the same box, six weeks before the year actually begins.
That means a tighter timetable. Artwork for a Diwali handover has to be approved in September or early October, not November, and because the same lot usually carries next year's calendar, the date grids, holiday lists and company dates for 2027 must be ready by then. We run the two pieces together — festive message on the box, year planner on the wall calendar — so a single approval covers both. If the Diwali date is missed, the same artwork becomes a New Year order without redesign; the Diwali corporate gifts page covers the box formats.
Who receives what: gifts by recipient
Arranged by the person at the receiving end, because an Alambagh business is usually gifting its network rather than its own office. Budget bands are relative to each other, ₹ lowest and ₹₹₹₹ highest.
| Recipient | Given by | What works | Usual quantity | Budget |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Drivers and cleaners | Transporters, fleet owners | A6 or A5 hard-cover diary with trip-log pages, printed pen | 100–600 | ₹ |
| Sub-dealers and retailers | Parts distributors, tyre and lubricant dealers | Wall calendars for the shop, Diwali box with diary and pen | 1,000–2,500 calendars | ₹–₹₹ |
| Booking agents and brokers | Transport companies | Corporate diary 2027, table calendar for the agent's desk | 100–300 | ₹₹ |
| Workshop mechanics and supervisors | Dealers with service centres | Wall calendar per bay, laminated diary for supervisors, printed T-shirts | 100–400 | ₹ |
| Showroom customers | Two-wheeler, car and commercial-vehicle dealers | Table calendar at delivery, keychain, pen | 300–1,500 | ₹ |
| Hotel guests and travel agents | Hotels near Charbagh station | Room pens, table calendars, PU diaries for agents | 200–1,000 | ₹–₹₹ |
The businesses of Alambagh and Transport Nagar
Transport Nagar is a planned estate of transport offices, godowns and truck yards, with the parts, tyre and lubricant trade around it. Alambagh's main road carries the automobile showrooms and their workshops and the wholesale traders. Charbagh, around the railway stations, has the hotels, travel agents, courier businesses and eating houses that serve passengers. Each has a network to gift, and most of that network is outside the office.
A fleet owner might run 80 vehicles with a driver and cleaner on each; a parts distributor might serve 600 retailers across Uttar Pradesh. The quantities are large for the size of the company, so the brief tends towards laminated board and PU rather than genuine leather, and towards pieces that will be used rather than kept. The dealers and distributors page covers the network-gifting pattern across the city; hotels and restaurants covers the Charbagh side.
What makes a diary hard-wearing
A diary for a driver or a workshop supervisor is handled with greasy hands, left on a dashboard in June and stuffed into a door pocket. These are the choices that help it last the year.
- Hard laminated board or PU cover
- A laminated board cover resists grease and rain-splash and takes a full-colour print of the company's trucks or showroom; PU wipes clean and takes a foil or blind-debossed logo. Soft covers are the one thing we steer transport buyers away from.
- A6 or A5, not larger
- A6 fits a shirt pocket and a cab door; A5 fits a clipboard. B5 and A4 stay in the office. The sizes and paper guide shows the formats side by side.
- Pages that get used
- Beyond the dated pages, transport buyers ask for trip-log, fuel and expense pages, a route and branch directory and the company's contact sheet, printed in the company-pages section at the front or back.
- Logo in one bold colour
- On the wall calendar and the diary cover, a single-colour logo at large size reads better across a godown than a small full-colour one. Phone numbers go in the largest type on the sheet.
One plan, two handovers
September: one brief for both
Quantities by recipient — drivers, dealers, agents, staff — with the Diwali items and the 2027 calendar and diary listed together. Logo file, company dates and the network address list if lots go outstation.
Early October: approvals
Mockups for the box, the wall calendar and the diary usually within two working days; one physical sample of the calendar and diary brought to your office or godown. Production runs 5–10 working days after approval.
Before Diwali: the first handover
Diwali boxes and the calendars going out with them are delivered to your office or godown, packed by recipient group, with outstation lots sent by transport — often on your own vehicles.
Late December: the second
Diaries and remaining calendars for the office, agents and customers who are gifted at New Year, from the same artwork, delivered on a second run. One GST invoice, or two if your accounts prefer the seasons separated.
A worked example: a transport company's Diwali-to-January order
This is an illustrative brief, not a client case study. A transport company in Transport Nagar with its own fleet and about forty booking agents across Uttar Pradesh and neighbouring states wants to cover its whole network from one order. For Diwali: 1,200 wall calendars — three for every agent's office, the rest for its own godowns, workshops and regular consignors — and 160 Diwali boxes for agents and major customers, each with a PU diary and an engraved pen. For New Year: 350 A6 hard-cover diaries with trip-log pages for drivers and cleaners, and 500 printed pens for the booking counters.
The owner sends the logo, the agent list and the fleet photographs in the second week of September. The wall calendar carries a truck from the fleet each month, the 2027 grid with UP and national holidays, and the booking numbers on every sheet; the box and diary carry the same logo lock-up. Approvals are done in the first week of October after a sample visit. The calendars and boxes are delivered to Transport Nagar before Diwali, packed by agent so that the company's own trucks carry each office's lot on their next run. The driver diaries and pens follow in the last week of December.
Delivery to godowns, workshops and station-side hotels
Transport Nagar deliveries go to a godown or an office inside a yard, not a reception desk, so we confirm the gate, the person who will count and sign, and whether a loading bay or a shutter is the drop point. Lots that your own vehicles will carry onward to agents or dealers are packed and labelled by destination, with the quantity marked on the outside of each carton, so your staff can load them without opening anything.
Around Charbagh the constraint is traffic and stopping space, so hotel and shop deliveries are timed for the quieter middle of the day, within our hours of 10:00 to 18:30, any day except Friday. Lots for dealers and agents outside Lucknow can go by courier from the studio if you would rather not use your own transport; tracking is shared on WhatsApp.
Beyond Alambagh and Transport Nagar
North of Charbagh is Hazratganj, with the banks' main branches and government offices; the old-city wholesale trade of Chowk, Aminabad and Nakhas is a short drive north-east and shares the dealer-gifting habit; and along Shaheed Path to the south-east are the newer offices of Sushant Golf City. The whole city, including Ashiana, Rajajipuram, Telibagh and Amausi, is on the Lucknow areas page.
By sector, see dealers and distributors for network gifting and hotels and restaurants for the Charbagh hospitality trade. The process from brief to carton is on how we work, and the full range on corporate gifts in Lucknow.
Questions transporters and dealers in Alambagh ask
Can we get the 2027 wall calendar in time to give out at Diwali?
Yes, if artwork is approved by early October. Production takes 5–10 working days after approval, and the calendar carries the full 2027 grid, so it goes out with the Diwali sweets and still serves the whole year.
What is the minimum for wall calendars?
1,000 pieces. Transporters and parts distributors with dealer and agent networks reach that easily; a single workshop or showroom usually takes table calendars instead, where the minimum is 100.
Can the diary have trip-log or fuel pages for our drivers?
Yes. The company-pages section of the diary can carry trip-log, fuel and expense pages, a branch and route directory and your contact sheet, printed along with the dated pages.
Will you deliver to our godown in Transport Nagar and pack by dealer?
Yes. Our team delivers from Vikas Nagar, about 12–14 km away, to your godown or office. Lots are labelled by dealer or agent with quantities on the carton so your own trucks can carry them onward.
Can the same artwork be used for Diwali and then New Year?
Yes. The box, calendar and diary share one logo lock-up and colour scheme; only the message changes. One approval covers both handovers, and a missed Diwali date simply becomes a New Year order.
Do you supply hotels near Charbagh station?
Yes. Room pens, table calendars for the front desk and PU diaries for travel agents are the usual requests from station-side hotels; deliveries are timed for the quieter middle of the day.
