RX Design Hub has worked from Vikas Nagar since 2022. The design desk sits here; the printing happens at partner presses around Lucknow and finished lots come back to the studio for checking before they go out. For a buyer in the neighbourhood that means two practical things: you can see the actual materials — laminated board, leatherette, PU and genuine leather covers, 300 GSM calendar cards, printed and engraved pens — before you decide, and you can collect a sample or a small order yourself rather than waiting for a delivery slot.

Most people who walk in are not from large companies. They run a clinic on the Kursi Road side, a coaching institute near Aliganj, a two-wheeler showroom, a kirana wholesale counter or a CA practice from a first-floor office, or they are on a housing-society committee that wants calendars for every flat. The order sizes are a few hundred pieces, sometimes exactly a hundred, and the questions are about which cover to pick and how the logo will look at small sizes. That is what the sample table is for.

What a walk-in visit covers

No appointment is needed during studio hours, though a WhatsApp message an hour ahead means the right samples are out on the table when you arrive.

• Handle finished diaries in each cover tier and compare A5 against B5 and A6 for your use
• See table calendar formats side by side — 6, 7, 12 and 13 sheets, single and front-and-back printed
• Check pen bodies and the difference between a printed and a laser-engraved logo on metal
• Look at foil shades (gold, silver, rose gold) against your brand colour on an existing piece
• Agree the quantity, cover, pages and delivery date, and get the quote written down before you leave
• Carry home a sample of the closest match so the rest of your team or committee can see it

Who orders from around Vikas Nagar, and what

Arranged by the kind of business, since the neighbourhood's buyers are small and varied. Lot sizes are what these buyers usually order, not minimums; the only fixed floors are 100 diaries or table calendars and 1,000 wall calendars.

Small lots from 100: how they work

A hundred pieces is a real order for us, not a favour. The design work is the same whether the run is 100 or 1,000: your logo is set in vector, the cover and inside pages are laid out, and a mockup in your colours usually comes back within two working days. The difference is in choices that keep a short run sensible. Foil stamping and full-cover lamination print suit small diary lots; a 12-sheet table calendar with your logo and contact details on every sheet is the usual pick for a clinic or showroom; printed pens are quoted alongside to round the order out.

Wall calendars are the exception. The 1,000-piece minimum makes them a product for dealer networks and large institutions rather than for a single clinic, so neighbourhood buyers who want something on the wall usually choose a larger table calendar or a 13-sheet desk calendar instead. If you do have a network of that size — a distributor on Kursi Road with retailers across the district, say — wall calendars become the obvious choice, and the wall calendar page covers the format.

Production for a small lot still takes 5–10 working days after you approve the artwork, because the pieces go through the same partner presses as a large one. Collect from the studio or we drop them at your counter — within Vikas Nagar and the next few colonies it is often the same afternoon the lot is checked.

Localities a short ride from the studio

These are the neighbourhoods we count as our own side of the city — close enough that a sample can be brought over the same day and a small order dropped off on the way back.

Aliganj and Kapoorthala

Two to five kilometres south. Clinics, coaching, showrooms and bank branches along the main roads; the busiest cluster of small buyers we serve. There is a separate page for Aliganj, Mahanagar and Kapoorthala.

Kursi Road

The commercial stretch north of the studio: traders, wholesale counters, builders' offices and newer apartment schemes. Diaries for supplier networks and calendars for society notice boards are the usual asks.

Jankipuram and Jankipuram Extension

Residential colonies with schools, nursing homes and a growing number of small offices. Housing-society calendars and school staff diaries come from here.

Mahanagar

Older colony with established shops, doctors and professional offices. Leather diaries with names for a short client list are a typical order.

Sitapur Road side

Institutes, hospitals and warehouses further out along the highway. Larger lots than the rest of the neighbourhood, often with a calendar for every department.

A worked example: a housing society's calendar for every flat

This is an illustrative brief, not a client case study. A residents' welfare association in Jankipuram with 240 flats wants a 2027 table calendar for every home, plus forty more for the society office, security cabins and maintenance staff. The committee wants the society's name and crest on each sheet, the maintenance due date and meeting day marked every month, the emergency numbers on the back of the stand, and the festival dates highlighted. They also want 300 printed pens to hand out at the annual general meeting.

Two committee members visit the studio on a Saturday, pick the 12-sheet format with front-only printing from the sample table, and leave with a sample. The crest and the month-wise notes arrive on WhatsApp on Monday; the mockup with all twelve sheets goes back on Wednesday and is corrected once for a changed meeting day. After approval, production takes the usual 5–10 working days. The 280 calendars and 300 pens are collected from the studio by the secretary in one car trip, with a GST invoice in the society's name and payment by bank transfer from the society account.

Hours, payment and how to reach us

The studio is open 10:00 to 18:30 from Saturday through Thursday and closed on Friday. Walk-ins are welcome in those hours; for a longer sitting with artwork, send a WhatsApp message first so the designer is free. Payment for small lots is usually an advance on confirmation and the balance on collection, by UPI, bank transfer or card, with a GST invoice for every order.
