Corporate gifts for hospitals, nursing homes and clinics in Lucknow

For a hospital in Lucknow, corporate gifting is mostly about the doctors and clinics that send patients your way and the counters that patients see every day.

The usual order is a diary for consultants and referring practitioners, a wall calendar for OPD waiting areas and wards, a table calendar on which the front desk can write the next appointment date, and pens for the OPD and billing counters. We design in Vikas Nagar and deliver by hand to hospitals across the city.

Hospitals, nursing homes, diagnostic chains and single-speciality clinics each have a slightly different list, but the logic is the same: the referral network gets the considered gift, the building gets the calendars, and the counters get the pens. Below is how that breaks down, what goes inside the pieces, and when in the year each one is given.

Referring doctors come first

Every hospital in Lucknow depends on a network of general practitioners, family physicians, small clinics and nursing homes — in Aliganj, Indira Nagar, Alambagh, and in the towns from Barabanki to Sitapur — who refer patients for admissions, surgery and diagnostics. The New Year diary is the reason the hospital's marketing or PRO team gets to visit each of those doctors once a year with something in hand, so it is the piece that carries the most thought.

A referring-doctor diary works when it is useful on the doctor's own table. That means the hospital's department list with consultant names and OPD days, the emergency and ambulance numbers on the inside cover, a page of investigation packages the GP can hand to a patient, and the doctor's own name foiled on the cover. In-house consultants and heads of department receive the same diary in a PU or genuine-leather cover; the wider referral list receives it in leatherette or laminated board, which keeps a list of three or four hundred doctors inside budget.

Recipients and the piece that fits each

A hospital's list splits into people who should feel personally remembered and places where the hospital's name should simply be visible all year. The table shows how the usual pieces divide between them; the budget column is relative, not a price.

Hospital and healthcare diary covers we have designed

Six covers our design desk drew for healthcare clients' 2026 diaries — a hospital group, two eye-care brands, a diagnostic centre and family-health practices — shown as 3D mockups on a B5 hardbound diary. They show the range a medical cover can take, from a calm white layout with one doctor's photograph to a full photo mosaic of the lab. Every name and artwork belongs to that client; yours is drawn around your own logo, departments and colours.

The same covers carry through to the desk calendar on the reception counter when both are ordered together.

Design details specific to hospitals

These are the points that make a hospital calendar or diary useful rather than decorative, and the ones to confirm before artwork starts.

Appointment-friendly table calendar
A wiro desk calendar with a large date grid and a blank write-on strip under each month, so the receptionist can mark the follow-up date and send the calendar home with the patient.
Emergency numbers on every sheet
Casualty, ambulance, blood bank and appointment numbers repeat on each calendar sheet and on the diary's inside cover, in a size readable from a metre away.
Department and OPD pages
A diary page per department listing consultants and OPD days, plus a page of health packages, gives a referring doctor a reason to keep the diary within reach.
Wipe-clean surfaces
Table-calendar cards and diary covers are laminated so they survive sanitiser and daily wiping at counters and nurses' stations.
Health-day marking
The calendar grid can mark the awareness days your departments run camps around, alongside the national and Uttar Pradesh holiday list.
Hindi where patients read it
Ward and waiting-area calendars often carry month names and the helpline label in Hindi as well as English; both scripts are set properly.

When hospitals gift during the year

January is the main round: diaries to the referral network and consultants, and calendars to every OPD, ward and nursing station — a 300-bed hospital can easily need a hundred wall calendars for its own building alone. Artwork approved in October or November leaves time for a sample and the 5–10 working days of production before the visits begin.

Doctors' Day on 1 July is the second fixed date, and it is the better moment for a higher-tier gift to consultants and the top referring practitioners: a boxed set with a leather diary, an engraved pen and a crystal paper weight carrying the hospital's crest. Foundation days, new-wing openings and CME events fall wherever they fall, and for those a pen and a notepad in a conference bag is the usual kit.

A worked example: a multi-speciality hospital's January round

This is an illustrative brief, not a client case study. A 200-bed multi-speciality hospital in Gomti Nagar keeps a referral list of 380 doctors across Lucknow and six nearby districts, employs 45 consultants, and has 22 OPD rooms, eight wards and a diagnostic wing. For January it wants one artwork in three forms: 45 genuine-leather diaries with names for consultants, 380 PU diaries with names for referring doctors, and 150 wall calendars — 100 for its own building and 50 for the referring clinics that have wall space.

The marketing team sends the logo, the department list and the Excel sheet of names in the last week of October. The mockup shows the inside-cover emergency numbers and a department page; the physical sample reaches the administrator's office in the second week of November. Production runs in the usual window, and the lots are split: the consultants' boxes and the building's calendars go to the hospital by hand, the Lucknow doctors' diaries are packed by locality for the PRO team's visits, and the district doctors' diaries are couriered to their clinics with a card from the hospital inside.

What a hospital should send for a quote

Send these on WhatsApp or through the form and the estimate usually comes back the same working day.

  • Quantities by group — consultants, referring doctors, staff, and the number of OPD rooms and wards for wall calendars
  • Logo file (vector PDF, AI or CDR) and the crest or accreditation marks you want shown
  • Department list with consultant names and OPD days, if you want them inside the diary
  • Emergency, ambulance and appointment numbers for the inside cover and calendar footer
  • Whether doctors' names go on the covers, and the Excel list if so
  • The date the PRO team starts its New Year visits

The employee versus client gifts guide is useful when deciding how far apart the consultant tier and the staff tier should sit.

Pharma print is a separate service

Hospitals and clinics sometimes ask whether we also do the print that pharmaceutical companies bring to doctors. We do, through our pharma line at rxdesignhub.com: visual aids, prescription pads, chit pads and reminder cards for pharma companies are handled at rxdesignhub.com. This page and the quote form are for the hospital's own branded gifts and calendars; if your pharmacy or a partner company needs pad printing, mention it and we route it correctly.

Where Lucknow's hospitals and clinics are

The large private hospitals of Lucknow sit in Gomti Nagar, along Shaheed Path towards Sushant Golf City, and on the Faizabad Road side around Chinhat; the clinics and nursing homes that refer to them are spread through Aliganj, Mahanagar, Indira Nagar and Alambagh. We deliver to all of them by hand from Vikas Nagar, and the full list of localities is on the Lucknow areas page.

Diaries and calendars for a hospital's own staff follow the same tiers as any corporate diary order; the 2027 order timeline shows which week to approve artwork for a January handover. Hospitals also order numbered receipt and bill books, letterheads and visiting cards for consultants, and joining kits for new staff.

Questions hospitals and clinics ask

Can each referring doctor's name go on the diary?

Yes. Send an Excel list of names; each diary is foil-stamped or printed with its name and packed in list order, so the PRO team can pick up a locality's bundle and start visits without sorting.

How many wall calendars does a hospital building need?

Count OPD rooms, wards, nursing stations, billing and pharmacy counters, and administrative offices — one each. A mid-size hospital usually lands between 80 and 150, and the minimum run is 1,000, so most hospitals add referring clinics to the list.

Can the table calendar be used for writing the next appointment?

Yes. We leave a blank write-on strip under each month's grid and keep the lamination matt so a ballpoint writes on it. The patient takes the calendar home with the date marked.

What is the minimum order for a clinic or nursing home?

100 diaries or table calendars. A nursing home with a short referral list usually orders 100 table calendars for patients and adds printed pens for its counters to the same order.

Do you print prescription pads and pharma visual aids too?

Through our sister business, yes — pharma print is handled at rxdesignhub.com. This page covers the hospital's own gifts, diaries and calendars; mention pad printing in your message and it is routed correctly.

How long after approval are the diaries ready?

5–10 working days after artwork approval (and after the sample, if you take one). For a January round, approving artwork in October or November keeps the PRO team's visit schedule comfortable.
