WEBSITES & CUSTOM APPS
Website development for architects and interior designers in Lucknow
An architect's or interior designer's website is a portfolio first: finished projects grouped by type, before-and-after views, a plain account of services and process, the team with its Council of Architecture registration where it applies, and an enquiry form that asks for plot size and budget.
We hand-code these sites so large galleries stay quick on a phone, and put them live 8–10 days after all your details arrive. The quote comes on WhatsApp.
Design practices in Lucknow sit close to where their clients build: studios in Gomti Nagar and Hazratganj, neighbourhood practices in Aliganj and Indira Nagar, and firms busy with the villas and apartments around Sushant Golf City. Here is how such a site should show the work, what to send, and which apps keep clients informed between site visits.
The portfolio is the site; everything else supports it
A family choosing an architect for a house on a new plot, or a flat-owner choosing someone for the interiors, decides largely with their eyes. They want rooms like the one they have in mind, built in this city, at a scale they can relate to. Only then do they read about the process, check who will handle the work and send an enquiry. A practice's website should follow that order.
That makes photographs both the main material and the main technical problem: heavy galleries slow a site, and a visitor on a phone leaves before the third image. Our sites are hand-coded, with every image resized and compressed for the screen showing it, so projects appear quickly and still open full-screen in detail. No theme, no page-builder; the domain, hosting and files are yours.
Websites are a newer service line of our studio, which has designed print for Lucknow businesses since 2022. Five or six demo sites can be shared on WhatsApp, and the website development overview lists what every build includes.
Pages a design practice's site needs
Six pages carry an architecture or interiors practice, listed in the order a prospective client tends to read them.
| Page | What it must do | Why it matters for a practice |
|---|---|---|
| Projects by type | Galleries filtered by residence, apartment interior, office, showroom, restaurant or clinic; each project with locality, area, scope and year | Clients look for work like theirs; a filter shows a flat-owner apartments, not a warehouse |
| Before and after | Paired photographs of the same room or frontage from the same angle, compared with a slider | Renovation clients need to see what you did with an existing space, not only new builds |
| Services | Architecture, interiors and turnkey execution on separate pages, each listing deliverables — drawings, 3D views, BOQ, site supervision — and what the client arranges | Saves the first meeting from explaining the difference between design-only and turnkey |
| Process | Stages from site visit and brief through concept, drawings, approvals and execution to handover, with what the client signs off at each | Sets expectations on time and decisions before any money changes hands |
| Team and studio | Principal and designers with qualifications, the Council of Architecture registration number for each architect, photographs of the studio | The people behind the pictures; the registration number answers a question careful clients do ask |
| Enquiry | Project type, locality, plot size or carpet area, scope, budget band, timeline, and an upload for the plot plan or site photos | Each lead arrives with the facts needed to decide whether a site visit is worth making |
Features that make a portfolio do its job
The parts that make a practice's own site work harder than a social-media grid.
- Filter by type and locality
- Visitors narrow the work to "3BHK interiors, Gomti Nagar" or "independent house, Sushant Golf City" in one tap, while each project keeps its own page for search.
- Before-and-after slider
- Drag across one image to compare the old room with the finished one; built to work with a thumb on a phone.
- Galleries that stay fast
- Images sized for each screen and loaded as the visitor scrolls, with a full-screen view for detail and no third-party gallery plug-in.
- Enquiry that qualifies
- Plot size or carpet area, scope (design only, design with supervision, turnkey), budget bands you define, timeline and a file upload, routed to your WhatsApp and email.
- Renders and walkthroughs
- 3D views and walkthrough clips embedded on project pages and clearly labelled as renders, so unbuilt designs sit beside finished work without confusion.
- Studio profile download
- A PDF of the practice's profile for builders and corporate clients who need something to forward internally.
What to send us
A portfolio site is only as strong as the projects in it. The 8–10 day count starts when this list is complete:
- Six to ten finished projects to launch with, each with full-resolution photographs, type, locality, area, scope, year and a short write-up of the brief and the solution
- Before photographs for renovations, taken from the angles of the after shots
- Renders and walkthrough clips you are content to publish
- Descriptions of your architecture, interiors and turnkey services, and the stages of your process
- Team names, qualifications and photographs, with the Council of Architecture registration number for each architect
- Studio address, map pin, hours, numbers, GSTIN and registered name
- Logo, letterhead and any existing studio profile, so site and print match
- Your budget bands and the units you quote in — sq ft, sq yd or carpet area
Name a client only with written consent; most practices describe a project by locality and type. You supply the write-ups; we lay them out and the design desk prepares supporting graphics.
Where an app helps a design practice
Once a job starts, much of a practice's day goes on keeping the client informed and the site moving. Three apps fit how studios already run; each is ready 15–20 days after we receive all your feedback on the screen plan.
Project-stage app for clients. Each client logs in to see where the job stands — drawings, civil work, electrical, false ceiling, carpentry, painting, handover — with the latest site photographs, drawings awaiting approval and the next payment milestone. Fewer evening calls asking for an update.
Site-visit photo log. The supervisor uploads dated photographs and notes from each visit against the project; snags are listed and ticked off, and the principal reviews every site from the studio.
Vendor and material tracker. Carpenters, fabricators, tile and hardware suppliers for each project, with quotes, orders, delivery dates and pending payments, so nothing is ordered twice or forgotten. Planning and testing are covered on custom app development in Lucknow.

How Lucknow looks for an architect or interior designer
The searches are practical: "interior designer Gomti Nagar", "architect for house map Lucknow", "modular kitchen designer Indira Nagar", "turnkey interiors Sushant Golf City", "office interior Hazratganj". In Hindi people type "घर का नक्शा बनवाना लखनऊ" or "इंटीरियर डिज़ाइनर लखनऊ". Google shows the map listing with its photographs, then sites whose project pages name the locality.
So each project page carries its locality and type in the title and text, the studio's address and hours sit in structured data, and the Google Business Profile, set to the architect or interior designer category, links to the projects page and gets fresh photographs whenever a project is published.
We meet practices where they work: studios in Gomti Nagar and Hazratganj, practices in Aliganj, close to our Vikas Nagar studio, and Indira Nagar, and firms with sites around Sushant Golf City.
The printed profile and the website from the same files
Builders, hospital trustees and corporate admin heads often ask an architect for something printed to pass around a board table. The photographs and write-ups prepared for the website become a printed studio profile or project catalogue, laid out by the same design desk, so the printed and online portfolios match page for page. The practice's mark, set once, carries onto letterheads, visiting cards and envelopes, and twelve finished projects can become a desk calendar for clients at New Year. One brief with Shubham Kumar covers all of it.
Questions architects and interior designers ask about a website
Should every project go on the website?
Only finished, well-photographed ones. Eight strong projects persuade more than thirty mixed ones. Work in progress belongs in the client app or your social feeds until it is shot properly.
Can we show client homes without naming the owners?
Yes. Most projects are described by type and locality — "4BHK interiors, Gomti Nagar" — with no house number. Name a client only with written consent, and leave out any shot that identifies the address.
Where does the Council of Architecture registration number go?
On each architect's profile and in the footer. Interior designers list their qualifications instead. The practice confirms the Council's current guidance on how work is presented, and we keep the tone factual.
Will big photo galleries make the site slow?
Not if they are built properly. Each image is resized for the screen viewing it and loads as the visitor scrolls; the full-resolution version opens only when someone taps for detail.
Will asking for a budget put enquiries off?
Bands you define, such as ranges per square foot or for the whole job, feel less intrusive than an open box, and the field can be optional. Plot size, scope and locality do most of the qualifying.
How long does a portfolio site take?
Eight to ten days after all details arrive. The usual hold-up is choosing photographs and writing project notes, so launch with your strongest six to ten and add the rest later.
