Corporate gifts for CA, law and consulting firms in Lucknow

Chartered accountants, company secretaries, advocates, consultants and architects in Lucknow gift in small lots and at a higher tier than most companies: a hundred to three hundred pieces, each going to a named client or partner who will notice the difference between a laminated cover and leather.

The essentials

Buyers
CAs, CSs, advocates, consultants, architects
Lot size
100 – 300 pieces, mostly named
Core items
Leather diaries, pen sets, paper weights
Moments
New Year and the April financial year
Finish
Blind deboss, foil names, engraving

The usual choices are a PU or genuine-leather diary with the client's name on it, a boxed pen set, and a crystal paper weight for the desk — with April, the start of the financial year, as a second gifting moment alongside New Year.

A professional firm's gift sits on a client's desk for a year and says something about the firm every time it is opened. That is why the brief is about finish, names and dates rather than quantity, and why most of this page is about getting those three right.

Fewer pieces, higher tier

A firm of three partners in Hazratganj might have a hundred and forty active clients, a dozen referring bankers and advocates, and a team of twenty including article assistants. That is the whole list. Nobody on it is anonymous, and the senior partner will usually hand over the top tier personally, which changes what the gift has to be.

So the diary moves up from laminated board to PU or genuine leather, the firm's mark is blind-debossed rather than printed, and the client's name goes on the cover in foil. The pen is metal and laser-engraved, in a box rather than loose. The paper weight is crystal, with the firm's initials, because it will sit on a director's desk next to the diary. Each of these costs more per piece, but at a hundred and fifty pieces the total is still smaller than a mid-size company's laminated-diary order, and it does far more for the firm's standing.

Article assistants, juniors and office staff receive a plainer diary from the same artwork — leatherette or laminated — so that everyone in the firm carries the mark without the budget going to people who will not notice the cover.

Budget tiers for a professional firm's list

Firms usually divide their list into three or four tiers and settle a per-piece budget for each before choosing products. This table is framed that way; the budget column is relative, not a rate.

Compliance dates printed into the diary

The detail that makes a CA's or CS's diary different from any other corporate diary is the statutory calendar. These are the ways firms ask for it.

Due dates you supply
Return filing dates, advance-tax instalments, TDS deposit dates, annual filing windows — marked on the day pages and the month planners exactly as your firm supplies them, with a note that the firm confirms the dates each year.
A compliance calendar page
A single two-page spread at the front listing the year's recurring deadlines by month, which clients consult more than the day pages.
Court calendar for advocates
For chambers, the High Court Lucknow Bench and district court holiday lists you follow, and the vacation periods, marked on the planner so the client sees when matters will not move.
Financial-year planner
A 2027–28 April-to-March planner alongside the 2027 calendar-year pages, so the diary serves both the client's accounting year and the civil calendar.
Firm pages
Partner profiles, services offered, office addresses and the team's direct numbers, placed at the front where a client looks when calling.
Writing paper
Clients of professional firms write in these diaries, so the dated pages are 70 GSM with a day-per-page layout and a ruled note section; see the sizes and GSM guide.

April as the second gifting moment

For most companies New Year is the only gifting date. For a CA or CS firm, 1 April matters as much: the new financial year begins, engagement letters go out, audit planning starts, and the client is thinking about the year's compliance. A diary or planner that arrives with the engagement letter in the first week of April is opened immediately, where a January diary may already be in a drawer.

The April piece is usually an undated or April-to-March planner rather than a dated calendar-year diary, with the compliance calendar at the front and the firm's pages inside. Firms that gift in both months often give the leather diary in January and a lighter planner with a pen in April, so the two do not duplicate. The diary versus planner guide explains the formats.

How a names order runs

  1. The list

An Excel sheet with each recipient's name as it should appear, the tier, and any grouping — by partner, by client company or by delivery address. Spellings are proofed from this sheet, so it is worth a second look before sending.

  2. Foil colour and position

Gold, silver or rose-gold foil, at the lower right of the cover or on the first page. One foil colour per diary; the firm's mark is debossed without foil so the name is what catches the light.

  3. Name proof

A PDF proof showing every name as it will be stamped, in list order, for the partner's office to approve. Corrections are made before any cover is stamped.

  4. Sample

One finished diary with a sample name, the engraved pen and the paper weight are brought to the chambers, so the partners see the actual leather, foil and box before the lot is made.

  5. Packing in list order

Each diary is stamped, matched with its pen and paper weight if the tier includes them, boxed and packed in the order of the list, with a few unnamed spares for late additions. Delivery by hand to the chambers.

A worked example: a three-partner CA firm's New Year order

This is an illustrative brief, not a client case study. A chartered-accountancy firm with chambers off Rana Pratap Marg has three partners, 140 clients and a team of 22. For New Year the partners settle three tiers: 40 genuine-leather diaries with names, engraved pens and crystal paper weights in boxes for the clients each partner handles personally; 100 PU diaries with names and a printed metal pen for the remaining clients and referring bankers; and 25 leatherette diaries for the team and article assistants, with a few spares.

The compliance calendar page is drafted by a partner and typeset at the front of every diary. The name list arrives in the second week of November, the name proof goes back in two days and comes back with four spelling corrections, and the sample box is seen by all three partners in the chambers before the end of the month. The 165 pieces are ready within the usual production window and delivered to the chambers in the third week of December, packed by partner and in list order, so each partner's December client visits start with the right box in hand.

Where Lucknow's professional firms practise

The CA chambers, company secretaries' offices and advocates' practices of Lucknow are concentrated in the lanes around Hazratganj — MG Marg, Rana Pratap Marg, Ashok Marg — with a newer cluster of consulting and architecture practices in Vibhuti Khand, Gomti Nagar, and neighbourhood practices through Aliganj, Mahanagar and Indira Nagar. We bring samples to the chambers and deliver by hand from Vikas Nagar; the full list of localities is on the Lucknow areas page.

Choosing between PU and genuine leather for the top tier is the one decision firms spend longest on; the PU versus genuine leather guide compares how each looks and wears. For a firm that also wants a wider set — bag, notepad, bottle — the gift sets page covers what can be boxed together. Firms that want one brand system across the desk also order letterheads, envelopes and visiting cards from the same artwork.

Questions CA, CS and law firms ask

Is fifty diaries too small an order?

Fifty on its own is below the 100 minimum, but a firm reaches it by combining the client tier with the team's diaries, or by adding pens and paper weights to the same order. A firm with a very short list can also share a run with a sister practice.

Can each client's name be stamped on the cover?

Yes. Names from your Excel list are foil-stamped in gold, silver or rose-gold at the position you choose. You approve a PDF proof of every name before stamping, and the diaries are packed in list order.

Can the diary carry our compliance due dates?

Yes. Supply the dates — filing deadlines, advance-tax instalments, TDS dates, court vacations — and they are marked on the day pages and the month planners, with a compliance calendar spread at the front if you want one.

What is the difference between PU and genuine leather for the top tier?

Genuine leather develops a patina and takes a deeper deboss; PU is uniform in colour, lighter and lower in cost, and looks close to leather when new. Most firms use genuine leather for partners' own clients and PU for the rest.

Can we gift again in April without repeating the January diary?

Yes. The usual pairing is a leather dated diary in January and an April-to-March planner with a pen in April. Both carry the same firm mark, so the client sees one identity across the year.

How long does a names order take?

5–10 working days after you approve the artwork and the name proof, and after the sample, if you take one. For December delivery, send the list by mid-November.
