Corporate gifts for agri businesses in Lucknow
Corporate gifts for agri businesses in Lucknow are mostly working print: a Hindi or bilingual wall calendar for the input shop and the farmer's home, a dated diary for dealers and field officers, a table calendar for the shop counter, and bags, pens and T-shirts for farmer meets.
Seed, fertiliser, crop-protection and agri-equipment companies, FPOs and dairies order them in tiers from one approved artwork, and we pack and dispatch the lots district-wise across Uttar Pradesh from our Vikas Nagar studio.
An agri company's gift list runs further from head office than almost any other: from the regional manager's desk to an input counter in a district town, and on to a farmer meet in a village. This page covers who receives what, what to settle in the Hindi artwork, and how each district's cartons are packed and sent.
Two clocks: the crop seasons and the January calendar
Most businesses gift once, at New Year. Agri-input companies work to two clocks. The January handover still matters, because the wall calendar is what keeps a brand on the dealer's wall and in the farmer's home for twelve months. But the selling year turns on the Kharif and Rabi seasons, and the dealer meets, product launches and farmer meets held ahead of each season are where much of the gifting actually happens.
That changes how the order is planned. The calendar and the dealer diary belong to the October–December print season, with artwork approved in October or November so that the sample, the corrections and the 5–10 working days of production are done before the January visits. Bags, pens, pocket diaries and field-team T-shirts are better ordered against a meet date, and because they carry no year on them, a single run can be split across several meets in a season.
Who receives an agri company's gifts
The list usually has five groups. Regional and zonal managers, and the large distributors who hold stock for a whole district, are few and receive the better pieces. District dealers and the retailers in tehsil and block towns are many, and they are the reason the order exists: the company wants its name in front of every farmer who walks up to the counter. Field officers and sales representatives, who visit those counters, run demonstrations and organise meets, need things they will use on the road. Farmers at meets receive something small to carry home.
Each group maps to a product. Dealers get a wall calendar for the shop and a Hindi dated diary for the counter, and the larger retailers add a table calendar beside the billing book. Field officers get a diary built around their visit records, with T-shirts and caps for field days. Farmer meets run on jute bags, printed pens and single-sheet calendars that travel home in the bag.

Recipients, items and branding at a glance
One artwork, several tiers. The table shows how a typical agri-input list divides; quantities rise and the per-piece budget falls as you move down it. The budget column is relative, not a price list.

Points to settle before the Hindi artwork
Agri artwork passes through more hands than most: marketing, the technical or product team, and the regional sales head who knows the dealers by name. Settling these points in the brief saves a correction round.
- Hindi, English or both
- Dealer and farmer pieces are usually in Hindi, with brand and product names kept in English beside the Devanagari so they match the packs on the shelf. Manager and distributor pieces are often bilingual. Tell us which tier gets which, and whether dates use international or Devanagari numerals.
- Season layout of the calendar
- A single sheet with the whole year, three sheets with one per crop season, or six or twelve sheets. The season layout is a design choice: each sheet shows the products you sell for that season, ideally with photographs from your own field days.
- Technical text comes from your team
- Any crop, dose or timing text on a calendar sheet or diary page is supplied and approved by your technical or regulatory team. We set it in Hindi and English exactly as approved; we do not write agronomic content.
- Dealer names, district by district
- A strip at the foot of the calendar can carry a dealer's shop name, town and phone number. It is printed in lots from an Excel sheet, and the same sheet decides how the lots are packed for each district.
- Numbers people will call
- Your helpline number, the territory officer's number and the nearest distributor's number go on the calendar footer and the diary's inside cover. Where numbers change by district, they are printed in lots like the dealer names.
- Dates on the grid
- National and Uttar Pradesh holidays and the main festivals are set as standard. Add scheme periods, dealer-meet dates and anything else you want marked; you check the full list in the mockup before a sample is printed.
From brief to district-wise dispatch
The brief and the district sheet
Quantities by tier, the logo and product images, the Hindi copy or the name of the person who will approve it, and an Excel sheet of districts, with dealer names and counts if the calendars carry them. The estimate for the whole list usually comes back the same working day.
Mockups and the Hindi proof
Calendar sheets, the diary cover and the inside pages are shown in your brand colours, with every Devanagari line checked. Corrections run in two or three rounds, and the approval is recorded on email or WhatsApp.
A printed sample
A printed calendar and a sample diary are checked at your regional office. Hang the calendar on a wall and read it from across the room, because that is how a farmer at the dealer's counter will see it.
Production in lots
Printing is done at our partner presses, and the order is ready 5–10 working days after approval. Dealer-name lots are counted and kept separate, so each one can go straight into its district carton.
Packing and dispatch by district
Cartons are packed per district or per territory officer and labelled with the district, the receiver and the count. Lucknow lots are hand-delivered; district cartons go by Delhivery, DTDC, VRL or bus transport, with docket numbers shared on WhatsApp.
Kits for field teams and farmer meets
A field officer's kit works hard. It rides on a motorcycle through dust and rain and gets opened at every dealer's counter. Laminated diary covers survive this better than cloth or leatherette and can be wiped clean. A polo T-shirt with an embroidered logo suits daily visits, a one-colour cotton T-shirt printed with the product name suits a single field day, and a cap with the logo is what gets worn in the sun. All of it is packed size-wise, one bundle per officer.
For meets, the useful items are the ones that leave with the farmer. A jute bag screen-printed with a short Hindi message carries the leaflets and the calendar home and comes out again at the weekly haat; a printed pen goes into the shirt pocket. Because none of these carry a year, one run can be split into lots of 100 or 200 and sent with the officer running each meet.
FPOs, dairies and agri-processors
Farmer producer organisations order differently from input companies. The list is shorter, the budget sits closer to the members, and the board usually approves the artwork at a meeting. Wall calendars have a minimum of 1,000, which suits an FPO with a large membership; a smaller FPO usually does better with table calendars for its office and collection points and dated diaries for its directors and CEO, both of which start at 100.
Dairies and milk cooperatives put a calendar in each village collection centre and on the counters of the shops that sell their milk; the useful additions are the collection timings and the procurement supervisor's number. Rice, flour and oil mills give calendars and diaries to the traders and commission agents they buy through, and to the distributors on their selling side, which is closer to the dealer-network pattern than to an input company's.
A worked example: a crop-protection company's season order
This is an illustrative brief, not a client case study. A crop-protection company runs its central Uttar Pradesh business from a regional office in Lucknow, with 22 field officers covering eight districts and about 900 dealers. Its marketing team wants the January print and the material for the farmer meets planned for January and February in a single order.
The brief settles at 900 dated Hindi A5 diaries for dealers, with laminated covers, product pages by crop supplied by the technical team, and order and stock pages; 5,000 three-sheet bilingual wall calendars, of which 4,000 carry a name strip for the 40 largest dealers in lots of 100 and 1,000 go out plain; 22 field diaries with visit-log pages, plus two polo T-shirts and a cap for each officer; and 1,500 jute bags and pens for fifteen meets.
The district sheet and product photographs arrive in mid-October. The Hindi product pages go through two correction rounds with the technical team, and a printed calendar and diary are checked at the regional office in the first week of November. After production, the calendars and diaries are packed into eight district cartons, with the dealer-name lots labelled inside, and sent by transport with docket numbers on WhatsApp. The officer kits and meet bags are handed over at the December sales meeting in Lucknow.
Lucknow's agri trade and the districts we send to
Within Lucknow, Naveen Galla Mandi on Sitapur Road is one of the city's main wholesale markets for grain, and the traders and commission agents there appear on many agri-processors' lists. Godowns and warehouses lie out along Faizabad Road towards Chinhat, and the transporters that carry district lots work from Transport Nagar. City deliveries go by hand from our studio in Vikas Nagar.
Outside the city, cartons go by transport or courier to the districts around Lucknow, including Barabanki, Sitapur, Hardoi, Unnao, Raebareli, Sultanpur and Ayodhya, and further across the state, with each district's lot labelled for the distributor or officer who receives it. Companies with a regional office in Kanpur or elsewhere can have the whole lot sent there for onward distribution; the Uttar Pradesh page covers dispatch across the state. Calendar layouts that suit a product-per-season design are on the calendar design ideas page.
Questions agri businesses ask
Can the wall calendar be laid out by crop season?
Yes. A common layout is three sheets, one per season, each showing the products you sell for that season; six- and twelve-sheet versions work too. Any crop or dose text is supplied and approved by your technical team. We design and typeset it, but do not write it.
Can each dealer's shop name be printed on the calendars?
Yes, in lots. Send an Excel sheet with each dealer's name, town, phone number and quantity. Every lot carries that dealer's details in a strip at the foot of the sheet and is packed into the right district carton.
Can the diary and calendar be entirely in Hindi?
Yes. Months, days, festivals and your message can all be in Devanagari, with numerals in international or Devanagari form. Brand and product names are usually kept in English beside the Hindi so that they match the packs on the dealer's shelf.
We are an FPO with a few hundred members. Is 1,000 wall calendars the minimum?
Yes, wall calendars start at 1,000. If that is more than you need, table calendars and dated diaries both start at 100 and suit an FPO's office, its directors and its collection points. Larger FPOs often find that 1,000 calendars covers members and input buyers.
Can bags and T-shirts for farmer meets go straight to the districts?
Yes. They are packed per meet or per field officer, with T-shirts sorted by size, and sent by courier or transport to the district office or the officer's town, with docket numbers on WhatsApp. Lucknow lots are delivered by hand.
How far ahead should we order for January or for a dealer meet?
For January, approve artwork in October or November. For a meet, count back from the date: two or three proof rounds, a sample, 5–10 working days of production after approval, then transport time to the district. There is one standard timeline, with no express lane.
